A ferocious lightning storm hit our community just an hour before church was to begin.  Thunder shook the house.  No way would we walk to church during this dangerous deluge.  When the storm finally passed, we sauntered over.  We arrived at the church building along with crowds of others; the church bells pealed letting everyone know that now was the time to begin (an hour late).  We slipped off our sandals and entered

Shawne Ebersole has worked with AOB in Bangladesh for 24 years now. She and her husband and 2 sons love the land, the food, and the people here. For years, Shawne has taught children and women, and has enjoyed visiting in homes and learning from the people here. Recently she’s become more involved in book production.

Crowds of young adults stride toward Memorial Christian College of Health Sciences each day. The same men and women, in white jackets, surge from the building to head to the hospital or into outlying villages. What are they doing these days, I wondered.
