AOB’s "Light of Learning" non-formal education program meets needs of under-privileged children and adults who have no opportunities for formal education. “Light of Learning” continues to develop each year.
Baptist Bible College of Bangladesh (BBCB) is working towards a partnership with Davis College to enhance the accreditation of the Bible College ministry in Bangladesh. Pray as we continue developing a proposal and show how our program can qualify for their degrees. It is exciting to see how years of developing national colleagues is paying off today in capable national instructors.
Bangladesh is home to 33 million poverty-ridden children (this is about half the children in country). According to UNICEF’s recent report, entitled “Child Poverty and Disparities in Bangladesh”, of these children:
“We’re here to show love,” Jewel Nath, supervisor of Path of Light literacy programs, explains. “We’re supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves, and this is a great way to do it!”
This is the see-saw to kick-off building a playground for the 400 kids that attend the local primary school. As you can see, the 4 seats do not mean 4 kids at a time. Glad we used the heavy duty 4 inch galvanized pipe!
This school year, fifty tribal village schools are operating through Bangladesh Tribal Association of Baptist Churches. It's a privilege for AOB to partner with them.

The Bangladesh government is donating a building to Memorial Christian High School. The goal is education for all.
